All group classes are $295.00 including a preview day of our boarding and daycare program should you need it. We do offer a 10% class discount for rescues.

Dog Training for Dogs of All Ages and Skill Levels
Woof Pack Pet Services offers dog and puppy training classes at our Boone, NC dog training facility. Owner Melissa Hemmings Helms is a graduate of Animal Behavior College where she earned her certification as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer.
Animal Behavior College (ABC) is approved by the Bureau for Private Post secondary and Vocational Education and is an internationally recognized school. Her year-long commitment to this program has provided her with a formal education in canine obedience training and understanding behavior and its motives.
Her certification, education, and experience provide her the skills required to effectively and humanely train your dog while keeping alive the spark that makes your dog so special to you.

Human handlers are required to be present during all classes.
Our dog training classes take place in Boone, NC at our indoor facility at 410 Appaloosa Trail unless otherwise stated or during class field trips.
We use positive reinforcement in our classes. No prong, choke, or shock collars of any kind are permitted.
Up-to-date vaccinations are required for all services. Please note that this schedule may change in the event of inclement weather. Class fees are nonrefundable two weeks prior to the start date.

2026 October/November Schedule – These will be the last group classes of 2026. Group classes will resume in March 2027.
Mondays
Sport Sampler Class – 1:00 PM
Ever wondered which dog sport your dog would actually enjoy? The Sport Sampler class is designed to introduce handlers and dogs to a variety of popular canine sports in a fun, low-pressure group setting. This class is perfect for newcomers who are curious about dog sports, as well as puppies and young dogs who would benefit from safe exposure to new environments, equipment, and skills.
Over the course of six weeks, teams will rotate through different dog sports, giving you the opportunity to explore what excites your dog most while building confidence, engagement, and teamwork. Each week focuses on a different sport, taught at an introductory level with an emphasis on positive experiences and foundational skills rather than competition readiness.

STAR PUPPY is the beginner puppy program for puppies (up to 9 months) who want to get a head start on their Canine Good Citizen skills and work through puppy behaviors and improve socialization skills. At the end of class puppy will be tested to be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R program.
Rally Obedience 2:00 PM
Rally Obedience is a timed course using directional signs to guide the handler through the course. The team of dog and handler heel from sign to sign and perform the exercises indicated by the sign at that location. One of the exceptional features of Rally Obedience is that handlers may talk to their dogs, giving them praise, encouragement, or give repeated commands or hand signals. Rally emphasizes fun and excitement.

STAR PUPPY 2:00 PM ( Six Week Class)
STAR PUPPY is the beginner puppy program for puppies (up to 9 months) who want to get a head start on their Canine Good Citizen skills and work through puppy behaviors and improve socialization skills. At the end of class puppy will be tested to be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R program.
(Five Week Classes )
Canine Good Citizen/ Therapy Dog Preparation Class 11:00 AM
This class focuses on strengthening the relationship between owner and dog by increasing communication skills. Positive reinforcement techniques are applied toward Canine Good Citizen goals. Dogs learn to sit-stay, down-stay, come when called, walk on a loose leash, calmly greet a person, and calmly pass by another dog. Problem-behavior trouble-shooting and active, participatory classes. This is a good follow-up class to a AKC STAR Puppy or Super Dog classes. The Canine Good Citizen test is given as the last class and is included in the price of the class.
