Woof Pack Pet Services offers dog and puppy training classes at our Boone, NC dog training facility. Owner Melissa Hemmings Helms is a graduate of Animal Behavior College where she earned her certification as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer.
Animal Behavior College (ABC) is approved by the Bureau for Private Post secondary and Vocational Education and is an internationally recognized school. Her year-long commitment to this program has provided her with a formal education in canine obedience training and understanding behavior and its motives.
Her certification, education, and experience provide her the skills required to effectively and humanely train your dog while keeping alive the spark that makes your dog so special to you.

Human handlers are required to be present during all classes. Classes are $275.00
Our dog training classes take place in Boone, NC at our new facility at 410 Appaloosa Trail.
We use positive reinforcement in our classes. No prong, choke, or shock collars of any kind are permitted.
Up-to-date vaccinations are required for all services. Please note that this schedule may change in the event of inclement weather. Class fees are nonrefundable two weeks prior to the start date.
Monday Dog Training Classes in Boone, NC
Mondays 3/27 – 4/24
Game ON – Canine Life and Social Skills Intermediate ( Five Week Class) 1:00 pm CLASS FULL
This class is for any dog that has completed Star Puppy or Super Dog and wants to continue working through their obedience skills in fun new ways. Practically any dog-owning struggle can be transformed using a games-based approach. We use play to teach real-life skills—from recall to being calm in the face of distractions—and to learn how to cope with challenges such as reactivity or fearfulness. When learning is fun, so is using what you’ve learned!
Prerequisite: Star Puppy or Super Dog
AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN ( Five Week Class) 2:15 CLASS FULL
This is a class for dogs (over 1 year) who are working towards their 10 skills in the Canine Good Citizen Certification. At the end of the 5 weeks your dog will be evaluated to become an AKC Canine Good Citizen and given an optional therapy dog evaluations through Alliance of Therapy Dogs.

Tuesday Dog Training Classes in Boone, NC
Tuesdays 3/21- 04/25
Fearful Fido 11:00 AM
( SIX WEEK CLASS)
These lessons are designed for the dog who is very anxious in new situations or around new people or dogs, and reacts to new situations, people, or other dogs by showing fearful behaviors like trembling, hiding, or snapping. The lessons are aimed at building confidence through the use of positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning / desensitization. The goal is to increase overall social confidence and sense of security in new situations.
SUPER DOG – 5:00 pm ( SIX WEEK CLASS) CLASS FULL
This class curriculum is for older puppies and dogs of any age focusing on learning 12 basic commands with distraction and proper leash walking who have not had any prior training classes.
STAR PUPPY is the beginner puppy program for puppies (up to 9 months) who want to get a head start on their Canine Good Citizen skills and work through puppy behaviors and improve socialization skills. At the end of class puppy will be tested to be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R program
Wednesday Dog Training Classes in Boone, NC
STAR PUPPY Program is for puppies (up to 1 year) who want to get a head start on their Canine Good Citizen skills and work through puppy behaviors and improve socialization skills. At end of puppy will be tested to be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R program

Saturday Dog Training Classes in Boone, NC
Sports Sampler – 10:00 AM
( SIX WEEK CLASS) CLASS FULL
Want to have fun with your dog but not sure which sport you’ll both enjoy most? This 6-week session is the perfect solution. Each week, you and your dog will be introduced to a new dog sport. Sports introduced include: Rally, Tricks, Nosework, Agility, Treibball and Lure Coursing.
